Welcome

Immediately you enter into Uganda, the green vegetation will capture your sight. It will not take you long to capture the Natural breeze that is produced by the green in the country. Uganda the “Pearl of Africa” is perched on an immense plateau with an average of 1, 200m above sea level, home to the Rwenzori Mountains (5000m)-or well know as the “Mountains of the Moon” with permanent snow cover, Mount Elgon (4300m) and mother of Lake Victoria the largest lake in Africa and second largest in the world. It is also the source of the River Nile.

Uganda's climate is equatorial but this is tempered by its elevated altitude and average daytime temperatures that range between 20C and 27C. Average annual rainfall is in the region of 1000mm. There are two rainy (wet) seasons - March to early May and September to December. The sunny (dry) seasons start from late December-late February and June – August.
Uganda is one of the few countries with the best temperatures in the whole world with a balanced season of sunshine and rainfall with one of Africa’s most attractive tourist destinations. The temperatures are so comfortable for touring the country all year round. Some of the country's trademarks are the lushness of the country, the sheer greenness of it, endless lakes, rivers, waterfalls and wetlands make Uganda a lush tropical haven, and its borders seem naturally geographical. Lake Victoria dominates the South, her blue waters funneling into the Nile River which journeys to the North.

Mountains form the Western borders, the Virunga volcanoes and the legendary and mysterious Rwenzori Mountains, known as the "Mountains of the Moon". The far North stretches towards the Sahara and the East transforms into arid plains.
With yet untouched by mass tourism, Uganda's parks and reserves are ideal retreats for the discerning eco-tourist. Uganda has a little over 1,000 different species of birds compared to 700 in the whole of Europe. For those who love mountain climbing, Rwenzori Mountain in the West and Mount Elgon in the East, awaits you. Rwenzori is one of the most challenging mountains in Africa with one of the highest Mountain ranges in the Continent.
