WelcomeImmediately you enter into Uganda, the green vegetation will capture your sight. It will not take you long to capture the Natural breeze that is produced by the green in the country. Uganda the “Pearl of Africa” is perched on an immense plateau with an average of 1, 200m above sea level, home to the Rwenzori Mountains (5000m)-or well know as the “Mountains of the Moon” with permanent snow cover, Mount Elgon (4300m) and mother of Lake Victoria the largest lake in Africa and second largest in the world. It is also the source of the River Nile. Uganda's climate is equatorial but this is tempered by its elevated altitude and average daytime temperatures that range between 20C and 27C. Average annual rainfall is in the region of 1000mm. There are two rainy (wet) seasons - March to early May and September to December. The sunny (dry) seasons start from late December-late February and June – August.
Mountains form the Western borders, the Virunga volcanoes and the legendary and mysterious Rwenzori Mountains, known as the "Mountains of the Moon". The far North stretches towards the Sahara and the East transforms into arid plains. Special Destinations
